Coleman was born in Lancashire, and born in Blackpool. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for the A-levels she took. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. Coleman when she was still at High School, was part of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They presented the show Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The award was presented to her for her performance and the production was also received favourably. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two prizes. Coleman received two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. In 2009, she was awarded nominations in two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will play Matt Smith's companion following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her for the role as she performed most effectively with Smith and could talk faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been on the scene for more than 30 years and is associated with numerous film and TV projects. The most popular of her work is her work on television than in the film industry. Eva has had many TV roles, but her roles as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to show off her artistic side via music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second husband.
