Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress well known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she acted on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The singer also released her debut album, titled It's Time to Tina that same year. Louise debuted as a performer in Hollywood in God's Little Acre which was a dramatic released in 1958. She played Griselda who was a character from the movie. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's student. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work successfully between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she's also earned a name for herself as a director who has been successful in various well-known television shows such as Supernatural or The 100. The family she was born into moved to Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for her childhood and teenage years. Her home was in Vancouver when she was chosen for the role of Samantha Carter.
